60 children aged 8-12 sing in the ETV Young children’s choir, who aside from singing and dance lessons in Lasteekraani Muusikastuudio study in music schools or specialised music classes. Most of them started studies at the studio already at the age of 3 or 4.
Young children’s choir started in new composition in August 2006 and their first important undertaking was singing back-up in the competition “Laulukarussell 2006” for singers in age group 7-9 in four television programmes; X Youths’ Song and Dance Celebration was their first song festival; Estonian IV young children’s choirs’ competition-festival was their first competition and the competition “Festival of Songs Olomouc 2008” in June 2008 the choir’s first foreign competition.
Achievements:
May 2008 – 1st place category A at the Estonian IV Young Children’s choirs’ competition-festival in Tamsalu
June 2008 – gold medal and 1st place with 100 points from a maximum of 100 and title of absolute winner in the up to 12 year-olds children’s choirs’ category at the 36th international choir competition “Festival of Songs Olomouc” in the Czech Republic
July 2010- gold medal and 1st place -  at the 6th World Choir Games, the Champions Competition in Shaoxing (China) in the up to 12 years-olds children’s choirs’ category
